Cream

When preparing a cosmetic product, you can combine the cream with sage ether. This will allow you to combine basic care with the use of convenient cosmetic products and the beneficial properties of a medicinal plant as effectively as possible. Depending on the volume of the cream or gel, add a few drops of oil to the jar. The resulting mixture must be used in the standard way.

Lotion

Another effective but easy-to-prepare cosmetic product is lotion. It is prepared using sage decoction. To do this you will need:

  • 1 glass of sage decoction (about 250 ml);
  • 1 tbsp. l. aloe;
  • propolis tincture in the amount of 5 drops.

The decoction is prepared in the standard way, filtered and cooled. Other ingredients are added to the resulting liquid, the lotion is placed in the refrigerator and used to wipe the skin with a cotton pad. You need to repeat this procedure every evening before going to bed. This will eliminate inflammation and acne, making the skin more elastic and healthy in appearance.

Lotions

Lotions are one of the types of compresses. This procedure involves applying a cloth or cotton pads soaked in cool or cold liquid to problem areas.

Face lotions with sage allow you to:

  • reduce puffiness and swelling (for example, eliminate bags under the eyes);
  • tighten enlarged pores on the face and eliminate oily shine on the skin.

For this purpose, a weak decoction is used. For 1 glass of water, 2 tbsp is required. l. crushed medicinal herbs. After straining, the liquid is left in the refrigerator and used to wet cotton pads and apply them to the area under the eyes. The duration of the procedure is 1-2 minutes.

Compress

This procedure is similar to lotions, but in the case of compresses, warm liquid is used. Compresses with decoction can be used for different purposes:

  1. For the skin around the eyes. This action allows you to reduce the number of fine wrinkles around the eyes and improve the condition of the skin. For toning, you can use contrasting compresses. The skin is exposed to heat for 1 minute, after which the compress is replaced with a cold lotion.
  2. Gauze compresses can be used to steam the skin (an alternative to a steam bath). In this case, you need to make sure that the broth is not too hot, because in this case there is a risk of getting a burn.

The effect of ice on the skin

Cold provokes metabolic processes, increasing blood flow to the skin. Cells are filled with oxygen, which accelerates regeneration and promotes the production of collagen and elastin. This is the basic principle of how ice cubes work. Water is quickly absorbed, penetrating deeply into the layers of the epidermis, delivering useful substances there. Despite the low cost, this tool can:

  • restore skin tone and elasticity;
  • give the skin radiance and healthy color;
  • get rid of acne;
  • make wrinkles less noticeable and prevent their appearance;
  • tighten pores;
  • reduce the number of blackheads;
  • relieve swelling, including in the eye area;
  • lighten age spots;
  • make the facial contour clearer.

In salons there is a procedure called cryotherapy. It is performed using liquid nitrogen. The result of this procedure is quite noticeable: the face is rejuvenated, the skin becomes elastic. This procedure does not cause discomfort, despite the low temperature. Using ice at home is often called private cryotherapy. It allows you to achieve the same effects that are obtained using a special mask.

Low temperatures have a positive effect on the surface of the skin, improving blood circulation. This, in turn, solves problems such as:

  • spots on the face;
  • unhealthy color;
  • circles under the eyes;
  • swelling;
  • wrinkles and lines;
  • pimples, blackheads.

Herbal facial ice is a natural product to prevent dryness, pimples and black spots on the skin. It also helps prevent various facial skin imperfections, including wrinkles. The most effective herbs are:

  • white mulberry;
  • ivy;
  • pine bark;
  • aloe vera;
  • sage.

Contraindications

You should avoid using sage at home:

  • for bronchial asthma and other lung diseases;
  • for pathologies of the central nervous system;
  • during pregnancy;
  • with individual sensitivity to sage.

Despite the undoubted benefits of using an ice cosmetic product, in certain cases it can cause harm. Here they are:

  • frontal sinusitis;
  • rosacea, superficial location of capillaries;
  • problems with blood clotting;
  • individual intolerance;
  • negative reaction of the dermis to cold (increased peeling, redness, dryness of the epidermis);
  • increased fragility of blood vessels;
  • increased body temperature, fever;
  • the presence of abscesses in the treatment area;
  • strokes, heart attacks in the past;
  • sinusitis.

If after a week of using home cryomassage you observe peeling of the skin, the formation of dilated capillaries and persistent redness, then stop the procedures. In all other cases, it is recommended to first consult a dermatologist.
