Wart removal pencil: features and properties

Description and composition of Lapis pencil

Lapis pencil for the treatment of papillomas

In the photo there is a lapis pencil for papillomas

Lapis pencil is an effective remedy designed to combat dermatological imperfections and remove epidermal growths caused by HPV. It is especially popular among the older generation, as it began to be actively used in the second half of the twentieth century.

It is used exclusively at home and is rarely prescribed by doctors. However, consultation with a medical professional - a surgeon, oncologist or dermatologist - is still necessary before using this product. First of all, in order to determine whether your neoplasm is malignant and whether such a method of therapy as medicinal cauterization is applicable to it, because it is this that underlies the action of this remedy.

At the moment, the official instructions for use of the Lapis Pencil include the following skin defects that can be corrected with its help: erosions, ulcerative lesions, epidermal cracks. However, patients often use it for papillomas, since they were previously included in the indications for use. Lapis was used to treat keratomas, flat and filiform warts, spines and other growths.

Lapis pencil contains:

  • Silver nitrate . Refers to an inorganic compound, it is a salt of the metal silver and nitric acid. It is a colorless rhombic crystal with high solubility in water. Considered toxic in large doses.
  • Potassium nitrate . Potassium nitrate is also an inorganic substance, represented by the potassium salt of nitric acid. Most often in a crystalline state, it is a colorless, non-volatile compound that has low hygroscopicity but high solubility in water. Odorless, non-toxic.

The product is made in the form of a white hard pencil, sometimes with a grayish tint, conical in shape, with a rounded top, odorless. The rod is inserted into a plastic holder with a cap. Wrapped in paper, additionally in a cardboard box. The concentration of silver nitrate in one pencil is 0.18 g, potassium nitrate is 0.37 g.

The price of a Lapis pencil is from 124 rubles in Russia (from 60 hryvnia in Ukraine).
An analogue of the Lapis pencil is the drug Tsiarkum. It is noted that a mandatory condition for storing this product is to strictly keep it away from direct sunlight and keep it in the refrigerator.

Active substance

The main component responsible for the action of the lapis pencil is silver nitrate, a salt formed by metal ions and a nitric acid base. Dry silver nitrate or lapis has a crystalline structure. The substance is highly soluble in water.

High concentrations of the solution have an astringent, anti-inflammatory and hemostatic effect. The substance has a rapid bactericidal effect (i.e., it can cause the death of pathogenic microorganisms in a short time) and long-term prevents re-infection of the wound.

Lapis interacts with cellular proteins, causing them to coagulate and cauterize tissue. When it comes into contact with the skin, it forms silver albuminate, a black salt. During treatment with a lapis pencil, dark spots appear on the skin at the treatment sites, which eventually disappear along with dead tissue.

A silver salt solution is used in gynecology to cauterize erosions. It is used in the form of a lotion to treat weeping eczema and burns, as it promotes scar tissue and speeds up healing. Lapis is used in otolaryngology. It is used to treat the larynx for chronic laryngitis.

In past decades, this drug was used to prevent conjunctivitis in newborns. A low concentration liquid was prescribed orally for gastritis and stomach ulcers. Currently, such treatment methods are considered obsolete, since silver in the form of ions is toxic, and doctors have safer and more effective modern drugs in their arsenal.

The benefits of Lapis pencil for papillomas and warts

Lapis pencil for papillomas is an active chemical agent, so it must be used with extreme caution.

Useful properties in the treatment of neoplasms:

  • Cauterization
    . Achieved thanks to the properties of silver nitrate. It has a strong effect on the epidermal membranes and causes protein coagulation - that is, its coagulation.
  • Necrosis of infected tissues
    . As a result of cauterization, necrosis of the treated tissue occurs, that is, the wart simply dies.
  • Cleansing
    . The keratinized particles are exfoliated, thus clearing the skin of unwanted growths.
  • Disinfection
    . The components of the pencil suppress the action of bacteria, which helps to avoid possible manifestations of sepsis and serves as a prevention of infection and inflammation of the skin.
  • Recovery
    . Under the influence of Lapis pencil for warts and papillomas, proliferation of epidermal cells occurs. This helps the dermis regenerate faster.
  • Nutrition
    . The drug dilates blood vessels, which improves metabolic processes and accelerates collagen production.

The presence of a special plastic holder makes using the pencil convenient. And protects your hands from exposure to the ingredients of the drug. As already noted, silver nitrate is toxic in large quantities. But if this is what the patient expects in the case of infected cells, then healthy skin should be protected. Therefore, applications should be made exclusively in a targeted manner, precisely in the area affected by HPV.

Where do papillomas come from?

In fact, the appearance of skin defects such as papillomas is associated with the presence of a special virus in the human body. The human papillomavirus is very common, so becoming infected with it is not difficult. Of course, if human immunity functions normally, then it will be able to cope with the development of such a pathology. Otherwise, infection cannot be avoided.

The presence of human papillomavirus is very easy to detect. Usually it makes itself felt with the help of unaesthetic growths that can cover the entire human body. Lumps or droplets can be found on the palms, face, armpits, neck and any other areas.

Please note that papillomas can lead not only to aesthetic problems, they can also cause the development of malignant neoplasms. Therefore, experts recommend taking your health seriously and eliminating this problem. The lapis pencil for papillomas, reviews of which are mostly positive, is very popular in medicine, since the product is very easy to use and is relatively inexpensive.

Instructions for use of Lapis pencil for papillomas

The photo shows the process of using Lapis pencil for papillomas

Before applying Lapis Pencil for warts and papillomas, consult with doctors to rule out the malignancy of the growth being treated.

How to use a lapis pencil:

  1. If you undertake the eradication of plantar papilloma, then a preparatory stage is necessary when using any dermatological medicine. Steam the spine in hot water, cut off the dead skin with manicure scissors using a pumice stone or a special pedicure file.
  2. If you plan to use this product to combat filiform papilloma, keratoma, vulgar warts, you need to wash the new growth with warm water and soap and dry it with a terry towel.
  3. The drug is applied only to dry skin.
  4. It is imperative to treat the skin around the tumor with additional protective equipment. To do this, apply zinc paste or rich baby cream to the area around the growth. However, even with this treatment, do not allow the pencil to come into excessive contact with the skin adjacent to the treated area.
  5. Remove the cap of the Lapis Pencil for Papillomas by tearing the protective paper tape.
  6. Dip the rod in water and gently lubricate the papilloma with it.
  7. Do not rub the product into the wart; let it absorb on its own.
  8. After applying the drug, do not wet the papilloma for the next 30 minutes.

If the product accidentally gets into your eyes, mouth or genitals, you should immediately wash it off with plenty of cool water.

The instructions for the Lapis Pencil do not include the frequency of use of the product or the timing of its treatment of tumors. According to reviews on the Internet, to achieve the best effect, treatment must be done 2 times a day until the growth completely turns black (necrosis of HPV-infected tissue appears). After this, applications are stopped and cell exfoliation and regeneration are expected.

Analogues and substitutes

A drug called Tsiarkum has a similar effect. It is a solution containing silver, hydrogen and copper ions. The product also contains citric acid.

The medicine is used to treat cuts, burns, cracks, and ulcers. Used in the treatment of eczema and psoriasis. It has an antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and cauterizing effect.

Apply to the skin in the form of lotions and compresses. The affected area should be treated 1-2 times a day. The duration of the course depends on the severity of the disease.

Among group analogues with a different composition, but a similar effect, there are drugs:

  • "Mountain celandine";
  • "Superclean";
  • "Verrukacid."

“Mountain celandine” is a natural medicine based on plant juices: celandine, rhododendron, gentian. Sold as a balm. Has a pungent odor. Used to remove dry calluses and papillomas. Apply to the skin 1-2 times a day for 2-10 days. Not recommended for use during pregnancy and lactation. Avoid contact of the product with the eyes and mucous membranes.

“Supercleaner” is a highly effective chemical based on sodium bicarbonate. Causes the death of tissues affected by the papilloma virus. May cause an allergic reaction. Warts are treated 1-2 times a day. The product is dripped onto the defect and left until completely absorbed. The result is noticeable within 4-6 days.

“Verrukacid” is a balm containing phenol and metacresol and has a very pungent odor. Indications for use: warts, condylomas, keratomas, plantar calluses. Depending on the size, the skin defect is treated from one to 3-4 times, with short pauses, allowing the product to dry. The procedure can be repeated after 6-8 days, up to 5 times in total. Verrucacid is contraindicated in children under 7 years of age.

Contraindications and side effects of Lapis pencil

The use of Lapis pencil can lead to allergies. Therefore, there are contraindications for the use of this medicine.

The following categories of persons should not use the product:

  • For allergy sufferers
    . In particular, this applies to those who are hypersensitive to silver ions. It will be easier for women to decide on this. If you are allergic to silver jewelry, for example, earrings make your ears red, then it is better not to use the drug.
  • For children
    . Since babies have more delicate and sensitive skin, and parents are unlikely to know about all the possible allergies that children may be susceptible to, it is better not to use the Lapis pencil or use it after consultation and very clear recommendations from doctors.
  • Pregnant and lactating women . The use of this remedy in expectant mothers and women during lactation is permitted only under the strict supervision of doctors and when the use of other means is impossible, and therapy to remove the tumor must be carried out immediately. However, even then you should not use it on your arms and chest.

It is also worth noting that the Lapis Pencil for Papillomas cannot be used on the face, mucous membranes, or scalp. They cannot remove nevi, treat animal and insect bites, redness, rashes and, in principle, any dermatological defects of unknown etymology.

When using a pencil, side effects such as itching, burning, mild pain, and rash are possible. These allergic reactions do not require additional therapy if they disappear within 24 hours. If these symptoms intensify and cause you significant discomfort, consult your doctor.

In case of an overdose of the product, it is possible to obtain a chemical burn to the skin, which will lead to damage to the area of the epidermis treated with a pencil and may cause scarring of the tissue. Then it is necessary to immediately contact a medical institution to prescribe therapy.

note

that when using the Lapis pencil for papillomas, the use of additional dermatological products, in particular those with an organic basis, is not recommended. This is due to the fact that silver ions enter into active chemical reactions with organic substances, which can lead to extremely undesirable consequences on the epidermis. This is especially true for the numerous tips on the Internet to simultaneously use the juice of celandine, garlic, aloe and other plants to enhance the effect.

Wartner pencil or lapis - which will help better against warts?

Lapis pencil and Wartner cannot be combined together, so you need to choose from them what will help more effectively in a particular case. The effectiveness depends on the stage of neglect, the strain of the virus and the individual characteristics of the patient. Unlike Lapis, Wartner Pencil is a gel that helps speed up the process of exfoliation of the problematic part of the skin. According to the manufacturer's instructions, the Wartner wart removal pencil can solve the problem within 5 days.

Many patients claim that the use of this drug allows them to get rid of the growth with a single use. The pencil was developed by the Association of Dermatologists and has a freezing effect on tumors. It should be noted that its use does not exclude the occurrence of relapse.

Tips for using Wartner pencil

  1. Before using the pencil, it is necessary to clean the problematic part from dirt by steaming the build-up with water.
  2. The protective cap is removed by turning it clockwise;
  3. The gel is applied strictly to the damaged part of the body. If it gets on a healthy area, it must be removed urgently, since the risk of burns is high;
  4. Complete removal of warts is achieved after 2 weeks;
  5. Treatment of several growths at once is prohibited

After applying the gel, the patient may experience a slight burning sensation, which is a consequence of freezing the tumor.

Regardless of the type of neoplasm, the disease should be examined by a specialist. This will allow you to correctly diagnose the type of HPV and choose the right treatment tactics. Today, lapis pencil is one of the best treatments for warts at the initial stage of development.

A short informational video designed to once again remind you of all the conditions and principles of treating warts with a lapis pencil:

Results of papillomas removal with lapis pencil

The photo shows the results of removing papillomas with a lapis pencil

Considering the fact that this product, according to the instructions, is not intended for the removal of papillomas, the manufacturer does not indicate the time period during which the destruction of benign neoplasms occurs.

According to the experience described in reviews of the Lapis Pencil, the period of use depends on several factors. These include:

  • The thickness of the stalk, which connects the neoplasm tissue to the epidermis;
  • The size of the papilloma;
  • Duration of stay of the growth on the skin;
  • Individual characteristics of tissue regeneration.

Many patients observe changes in the structure of small warts after just a few days of use and their complete exfoliation a week after the start of treatment.

Medium-sized warts can take up to several weeks to remove.

Old, large-diameter papillomas go away over a longer period of time - up to a month, and sometimes more. The lapis pencil for the spine works more effectively the sooner treatment is started.

In addition, a fairly large number of patients complain that they did not achieve the desired effect, that is, removal of papilloma at all.

Other ways to fight warts

A dermatologist can prescribe more stringent procedures for removing warts and papillomas. These include:

  1. Freezing formations with liquid nitrogen. The procedure is performed in a clinic. Liquid nitrogen is applied to a cotton swab or a special applicator, after which the swab is applied to the wart for a few seconds. The wart then turns white and becomes dense. In its place a bubble forms, which dries out within a week. Within 2 weeks the crust falls off, leaving a small pink mark.
  2. Removal of formation with current or laser. When removing by electric current, a metal loop under high voltage current is used. It is used to cut off the wart, using a current to ensure that there is no bleeding . The procedure is done under local anesthesia. After a week, the remaining crust disappears. The wart is cut off layer by layer using a laser under local anesthesia. A small depression forms at the treated site, which soon levels out.
  3. Sometimes they resort to surgical removal. This method is used to destroy large warts. The operation is performed under local anesthesia.
  4. Chemical methods are very rarely used. They involve lubricating the formation with caustic acid or concentrated alkali. This can be quite painful. The only acid that is sold in pharmacies for self-use is salicylic acid.

Important: salicylic acid is not used to destroy warts on the face and genital area.

It is used to treat skin on the legs and arms. She also treats calluses, acne and other skin conditions. Before use, consultation with a dermatologist is necessary.

A good remedy for warts is Papilleque. It is easy to use and does not cause side effects. Feresol has a bactericidal effect and is used to treat HPV. Before purchasing it, you should consult your doctor.

Traditional methods of removing warts

  1. Wormwood . Use infusion and decoction. To make a decoction, take 3 tablespoons of the herb per glass of boiling water, boil for 2 minutes and then leave for half an hour. Lubricate infected areas of skin.
  2. Garlic. Apply a cut of garlic to the infected areas 2-3 times a day. The procedure is repeated until the formations disappear. This takes from two weeks to 1 month. You can make a dough from grated garlic, liquid citric acid and flour. with a hole the size of is glued to the infected area . The prepared dough is applied on top, then another patch is glued on top and kept for 2 - 3 days.
  3. Celandine. The juice of the plant is lubricated once a day. The course of treatment is up to 1 month.
  4. Tea tree oil. It is sold in many pharmacies. Used to remove warts on the legs. If it is necessary to treat formations in other more sensitive places, the oil must be diluted with aloe gel or plain water in a 1:1 ratio. Apply to the infected area up to 3 times a day .
  5. Raw onion. It is soaked in vinegar essence and applied overnight to the infected area. Repeat several times until the formation disappears.
  6. Liquid green soap. It is used in bandages on the infected area. Moisten gauze with it and secure it to the skin.

Indications for use

Since this drug has some contraindications, before starting treatment, you need to study the instructions. It is not used in the following cases:

  • for nevi and birthmarks,
  • if neoplasms are located on the face and genitals,
  • during pregnancy, nursing mothers and children under 2 years of age,
  • in case of individual intolerance to the main components,
  • if an allergic reaction to silver nitrate occurs.

Before using a pencil, you should definitely consult a dermatologist to determine the nature of the formation in order to exclude its malignant appearance.

Despite its practicality and effectiveness, the lapis pencil also has some contraindications. Many unpleasant reviews about this product are due precisely to the fact that people themselves violated the rules for its use, which led to burns and other problems. However, careful and correct adherence to all prescriptions and instructions, taking into account the presence of contraindications, will allow you to remove the hated warts without unnecessary difficulties.

  1. You cannot use the pencil if you are intolerant to its components - the most common allergy is to silver ions. If, after the first use of lapis, itching, skin rash, or redness occurs, its use should be discontinued.
  2. Despite everything, the use of this product is, in fact, a controlled burn of skin tissue. Therefore, if the skin is thin (on the face, neck, near the genitals), a pencil cannot be used, as this will inevitably affect not only the papilloma, but also healthy tissue.
  3. The same principle applies to children - they have thin and very delicate skin, so using such a strong remedy as lapis can be very painful for a child.

A burn from lapis looks like a black spot on the skin, which you don’t even have to try to wash off - it will go away on its own over time. Naturally, there is an unpleasant burning sensation and pain, but in essence, such a burn is safe and will heal on its own over time.

It is used to eliminate only benign types of formations, after appropriate diagnostics.

Lapis pencil has the following contraindications for use:

  • Use for malignant tumors;
  • Moles;
  • Allergic reactions at the location of the wart;
  • Individual characteristics of the body and intolerance to the constituent components;
  • Use in the chest and groin area;
  • Swelling of the skin and inflammation of the formation;
  • Disease of internal organs.

It is forbidden to use before visiting saunas and baths, as well as when a person is exposed to direct sunlight for a long time.

Manufacturers of the pencil report its possible use for the following problems:

  1. Erosion. Damage to the skin caused by inflammatory processes.
  2. Cracks in the skin. Occurs when the skin loses elasticity.
  3. Warts and papillomas. Neoplasms that are mostly benign and have a viral origin. Appearance: nodule or papilla.
  4. Minor bleeding wounds.
  5. Skin ulcers. Places on the human skin where, after the upper layers of the epidermis have died, the tissues are not restored.

Lapis has a wide range of applications. It can be used in gynecology, otolaryngology and other fields of medicine.

According to reviews, lapis pencil for warts and papillomas has many positive properties. In addition, it has the following contraindications:

  • Skin diseases in children under 2 years of age. Due to the fact that children's epidermis is much more delicate and sensitive than that of adults. The likelihood of allergies in this situation increases.
  • Rashes on the skin of the face. After using a pencil, burns and scars may occur on it. They have a negative effect on a person's appearance.
  • Not suitable for genital therapy.
  • Individual intolerance to the components of the drug.
  • Skin diseases of women during pregnancy and lactation. In this situation, treatment should be carried out under the supervision of a specialist. The instructions for use must be followed exactly.

Medicines that contain organic compounds should be used with caution. Combining medications sometimes causes a chemical reaction; as a result, the pencil will decompose into chloride ions and precipitate.

special instructions

The use of lapis pencil has the following features:

  • The result may appear only after several applications;
  • When using a pencil, the formation darkens;
  • Do not use for more than 4 weeks;
  • Prohibited for use by children under 5 years of age;
  • When using a lapis pencil, a feeling of cold may occur;
  • The process of eliminating formation is most often accompanied by unpleasant sensations;
  • Not used in the chest and groin area;
  • When removing warts, blisters appear that need to be treated with an antiseptic.

The use of a Lapis pencil is effectively used to remove small formations, however, for large warts it is recommended to use more effective drugs.

What types of diseases require treatment with a lapis pencil?

Lapis pencil for warts is a solid medicinal structure.
The main active ingredient is silver nitrate - lapis. To ensure an antibacterial effect, potassium nitrate - potassium nitrate - was added to its composition. With the help of this composition it is easy to remove skin formations. It is often used instead of cryotherapy - removal of warts and papillomas with cold.

Many recipes and recommendations provide for the removal of papillomas and warts through the complex use of drugs. You will get good results when using the pencil and other medications of the same spectrum of action together.

Silver nitrate is a fairly active compound. Many organic substances and inorganic salts react with it, during which all its beneficial properties are lost. Lapis pencil and other organic compounds (bromides, iodides, chlorides) are incompatible with each other, since the latter lead to the decomposition of its main component.

Correct use means their alternate use, that is, one day they use a lapis pencil, the second - an antiviral solution or gel (Panavir, Oxolinic ointment).

As a result of this approach, the cauterizing effects of lapis are combined with the fight against papillomavirus of other means.

Due to its effectiveness during treatment, the lapis pencil helps with the following diseases:

  • benign neoplasms - warts, papillomas, condylomas,
  • cracks and other skin damage,
  • ulcers and minor wounds,
  • erosion.

This remedy should be included in the home medicine cabinet as a first aid drug for skin injuries, as well as for long-term treatment of a number of conditions. For example, it is possible to remove warts and papillomas with repeated use of the pencil over a long period.

To begin treating skin growths with the product, you need to remove the cap and thoroughly moisten its conical edge with water. Damaged areas of the skin are washed and dried thoroughly. Cauterization of warts and filamentous papillomas is carried out very carefully in a targeted manner. Provide regular use of the drug up to two times a day. The completion date of treatment is determined by the doctor. It is influenced by the size of the formations and their prevalence.

Sometimes when using the product a side effect occurs in the form of:

  • irritation of the skin around the formation during its processing. There is no need to take any action, it will go away on its own. It must be remembered that you should not go beyond the edge of the focus of pathological formations when treating with the drug.
  • allergic reaction in places remote from the source in the form of itching and rash. To eliminate it, antihistamines are used that can eliminate these manifestations. Lapis treatment should be stopped completely.

The drug is sold in almost every pharmacy; no special prescription is required.

The product has the shape of a cone. Its rounded top is gray or white. The wrapper is a polyethylene pencil case. The lapis pencil goes on sale in cardboard or paper packaging, the price of which is 120 - 160 rubles.

You should use the lapis pencil for warts very carefully. Otherwise, burn marks and scars will remain on the skin after treatment. According to the results of clinical studies, the low effectiveness of lapis pencil in the fight against warts has been established. Only 43% of the subjects noted complete removal of skin formations, and 26% noted only a decrease in their size.

Many people use lapis without consulting a specialist, but without accurately determining the nature of the origin of papilloma, which poses a significant danger to human life.

Before using this medicine to remove papillomas or warts, you must first visit a doctor - this is necessary so that the specialist determines the type of formation and excludes its malignant nature. Frankly speaking, such a check should always be done if you decide to fix a skin problem at home yourself. If no contraindications to the use of this remedy are found, then treatment can begin.

  1. First, the skin in the area of the papilloma or wart is thoroughly cleansed with water and dried - silver nitrate reacts with all organic compounds. And the more “dirt” (sweat residues, particles of dead epidermis) on the skin, the less active substance will affect the tumor.
  2. After removing the cap, dip the pencil tip into cold water for 1-2 seconds. The active substance begins to dissolve and can now settle on the surface of warts or papillomas.
  3. The medicine is applied pointwise to the neoplasm, avoiding its contact with healthy skin. The active substance is absorbed into the tissue very quickly, so there is no need to wipe the skin afterward. There may be a feeling of warmth or a slight burning sensation (if there are no defects in the skin).

Small thread-like papillomas with a thin and delicate structure can be completely removed by smearing them with a pencil only once. If, after the disappearance of papillomas, they appear again (relapse), then the site of their localization can be treated once a week for a month. In case of denser warts on the hands, fingers, and body, the product can be applied 1-2 times a day for a week. The most difficult plantar warts to remove are often treated for a month until complete removal.

When using a pencil to remove warts or papillomas, the main thing is not to overdo it, otherwise you may get a chemical burn. If the burning sensation during application increases each time, then you need to take a break for a week or two from using it.

You can often find recipes and recommendations that recommend comprehensive removal of warts and papillomas using a pencil and other means. But when considering such techniques, it is important to know one rule - the lapis pencil cannot be used simultaneously with any other drugs against benign skin tumors.

Silver nitrate is a fairly active compound; it reacts with many organic substances and inorganic salts, losing almost all of its beneficial properties. Correct combined use implies that, for example, a pencil was used on one day, and an antiviral gel or solution (Panavir, Viferon, Oxolinic ointment) on another. This approach combines the cauterizing effect of lapis and the fight against the main cause of warts - the human papillomavirus.

Often many people are interested in analogues of this remedy, since in recent years a cheap and reliable lapis pencil has become increasingly difficult to find on pharmacy shelves. There are not many products on the modern market that, like this one, would combine practical packaging, a convenient method of application and high effectiveness against skin tumors. However, there are still several such drugs, although they have a composition somewhat different from lapis:

  1. Wartner pen applicator - available in volumes of 1.5 and 4 ml in the form of a convenient small pen with a dispenser. Contains a thick gel based on trichloroacetic acid, which has a cauterizing effect on papilloma tissue. Apply 2 times a day for 4-5 days, after which the wart begins to die and is rejected.
  2. Lekker “Super Clean” is a concentrated solution of alkali with the addition of a small amount of dye in the form of a 3 ml applicator pen. The dye is necessary in order to control the application of the solution and avoid (or notice in time) its contact with healthy areas of the skin; after drying, the color is easily erased. The solution is applied once a day for 5 days.

However, these products simply imitate the effect of lapis, but are not its complete analogues, since they do not contain silver nitrate and act on warts in other ways.

The lapis pencil comes in the form of a cone, which is easy to use and allows you to accurately apply the substance to the problem area.

The active substance has a solid structure and is placed in a special plastic case that prevents contact of the drug with healthy human skin; the drug has no odor and is white in color.

A lapis pencil has the following composition:

  • Silver nitrate is an antiseptic that has the property of penetrating deeply into the layers of the epidermis and destroying virus cells that infect the skin;
  • Celandine extract is a natural substance that destroys cells of infections such as papilloma and promotes the rapid removal of damaged cells without harm to healthy areas of the skin;
  • Citric acid - has an antiviral effect and reduces the further spread of viral infection to healthy areas of the skin;
  • Potassium nitrate – has a cauterizing effect;
  • Excipients - used for rapid restoration of epidermal cells after removal of formations.

The drug has a mild effect on the skin, but if used incorrectly it tends to cause burns.

A lapis pencil has the following properties:

  • Cauterizes formation;
  • Penetrates deep into the formation and eliminates the virus;
  • Antibacterial properties;
  • Restoration of the skin;
  • Blocking further development of the disease.

The action of the Lapis Pencil is as follows:

  • The active components of silver penetrate deeply into the layers of the epidermis;
  • Reduces the processes of viral infection activity;
  • Destroy the membranes of viral cells;
  • Potassium nitrate cauterizes the formation;
  • The further spread of the disease is blocked;
  • After a certain time, the formation disappears.

Thanks to the active components, the damaged cells gradually die off, after which there are practically no traces left on the skin.

The use of Lapis pencil with other external means is prohibited, as there is a risk of complications of the disease.

Reasons why you should use a lapis pencil

This drug is very popular and is widely used in the treatment of various skin growths at home. The undeniable advantages of the lapis pencil include:

  1. Affordable price - a person can afford this product even with a very limited budget. The cost of the drug is much lower than other means for removing papillomas and warts. Using a lapis pencil, you can get rid of the problem forever without resorting to the services of cosmetologists in expensive salons.
  2. The pencil is easy to use; you just need to apply the product to the affected area, avoiding contact with healthy skin.
  3. The product is absolutely safe for the skin, unlike other drugs, after treatment with a lapis pencil there are not even small scars left.

Most often, the first results of treatment appear already on the third or fourth day of using the drug. However, it is impossible to determine a more precise time frame for complete recovery from skin growths, since they will directly depend on your body’s reaction to the active substance. Despite the fact that the drug is safe for the human body, before using it, it is recommended to consult a specialist who will conduct a preliminary examination and diagnosis of growths on the skin. This is necessary in order to exclude the presence of malignant neoplasms.

Contraindications

Despite the fact that this drug is not harmful in most cases, there are a number of contraindications to its use:

Doctors do not recommend using the drug to get rid of warts on the face, or to treat large areas of skin to avoid the formation of burns. People sensitive to the effects of drugs containing silver should not use the pencil. With extreme caution and only after consultation with a doctor, the use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation is allowed, the same applies to small children. Delicate children's skin, unlike the skin of an adult, is more sensitive to the effects of silver nitrate

Therefore, children are much more likely to suffer serious burns than adults.

Elena

Last year I got a wart on my skin, it’s disgusting! I did everything I could - I cut it out, tore it off, but it appeared again and again... In general, I had to take drastic measures. The pharmacy advised me to buy a lapis pencil. So, I want to share my own experience on how to remove a wart at home. First of all, the pencil needs to be moistened in cold water, and then the drug should be applied to problem areas of the skin. If the product gets on healthy skin, it turns black. I used the pencil twice a day for two weeks. Then it seemed to me that all my efforts were in vain, and I stopped treatment. But along with the black skin, my wart went away! More than a month has passed since then, and the wart has not appeared again. I really hope this problem is resolved for me. By the way, you need to store the lapis pencil in the refrigerator. A good product, I recommend it as an alternative for removing any growths on the skin. But it’s still better to go to a cosmetologist and remove the formation using a regular laser.

The pencil is produced in Russia, so it was quite difficult for me to find it in Ukraine. However, I was lucky enough to buy the drug in one of the pharmacies in my city. Unfortunately, in the instructions for using the lapis pencil there is not a word that it removes papillomas and warts! Despite this, many people successfully remove growths thanks to this wonderful remedy. I have no experience in treating papillomas with a lapis pencil; we purchased it to treat cracks on my husband’s fingers. From year to year, in winter, he regularly develops very deep and painful cracks in his hands. The skin bursts until it bleeds. We tried everything we could - even the most expensive and high-quality creams did not help, they simply softened the skin a little, but the cracks did not heal. My husband applied the product to thoroughly washed and dried hands every day before going to bed. After a week, we noticed the first results - the old skin gradually began to peel off, the cracks healed. To be honest, I didn’t believe that we would get rid of this difficult problem so quickly. But it happened! The only drawback of lapis pencil is that it leaves black marks on the skin, but this goes away with time.
