Prurigo or prurigo is an acute itchy inflammation of the skin, the main elements of which are multiple nodules with blisters in the central part.
Intense itching of the skin provokes the formation of deep scratches in the epidermis (excoriations).
A distinctive feature of pruritus is the localization of the rash on the extensor part of the upper and lower extremities.
Diagnosis of the disease is carried out based on the results of a dermatological examination and microscopic examination. Treatment of the pathology consists of prescribing a diet, vitamin supplements, antihistamines, physiotherapy and sedative medications.
Nutrition

- alcoholic drinks, spicy foods, smoked meat, sausage, salty dishes;
- coffee, tea, cocoa, honey (partially);
- foods containing large amounts of carbohydrates;
- chocolate, citrus fruits, some berries, mushrooms.
You will need to keep flour products in the refrigerator to a minimum, eat more fruits and vegetables, drink a lot of water (namely water, not juices, carbonated drinks and other liquids) to improve metabolism - metabolism.
In principle, complete recovery is possible, but the chance is small. The dermatologist's task is to reduce itching and relieve pain, but due to other factors (background diseases), complete healing is not always possible. The disease is not fatal, although it is the rarest among this class. Moreover, as mentioned earlier, it is not transmitted by any means, be it airborne or sexual.
